On August 31, the kickoff meeting for drafting a deep-sea mineral resources development technology roadmap was held in Hangzhou, under the guidance of the Administrative Center for China’s Agenda 21, hosted by the Marine Resources Development Technology and Equipment Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Sustainable Development, and jointly organized by the Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CRIMM) and the Second Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians Li Jiabiao and Li Huajun and Wang Wentao, director of the ocean division of the Administrative Center for China’s Agenda 21, attended the meeting. CRIMM Party committee secretary and chairman Li Maolin, general manager and Party committee deputy secretary Zhuo Xiaojun, Second Institute of Oceanography director Fang Yinxia, and more than 50 experts in the field participated in the meeting.
