In October we head out with the vessel for new sampling

On 7 October we set out on a two-week expedition with our survey vessel R/V Bothnia Surveyor. The purpose is to continue, together with our partner Sweco, the sampling whose analyses will later be explained in an environmental impact assessment. That in turn will form the basis of our application for extraction.

But other things will be happening on board as well. In parallel with the work we are doing together with Sweco, researchers from Stockholm University will carry out seabed and water sampling in the survey area, as part of a research project.

I will be on the vessel myself as an extra resource and a helping hand where it is needed. It will be exciting to take part, and a relief that we are finally getting started with the physical sampling.
