Ltd. has appointed Edward
Wayne Malouf as chairman of the board, effective Jan. 17,
2008. The election follows Mr. Malouf’s appointment as interim president and
chief executive officer of the company in December.
Mr. Malouf received his BA and JD from St. Mary’s University of San
Antonio, Tex., and his MA from the University of Chicago. In private
practice for several years, Mr. Malouf has represented a number of mining
companies. In 2002 he became chief executive officer of Sierra Rutile Ltd.,
a subsidiary of Titanium Resources Group, a London AIM listed company, and one of the world’s largest producers of natural rutile. In that
capacity and later as vice-chairman of TRG, Mr. Malouf played a pivotal role
in the successful restart of TRG’s rutile and bauxite mining operations in
Sierra Leone.
