Namibian operations officially opened; Namibian listing application

On December 3 1993 Namco’s operations in Namibia were officially opened.

The company is employing the most sophisticated technology in carrying out a comprehensive ground proofing of its 1,036 square kilometres of marine diamond concessions. The survey will include 5,600 km of seismic and vibrocore sampling. It is estimated the HV Fox, with its complement of 24 crew, technicians and scientists, will spend 100 days at sea with a total budgeted cost of US$3 million.

The survey will encompass the Luderitz Mid Water and Hottentots Bay concessions in Namibia and Marine concession 12b in South Africa.

The company has appointed Alluvial Mining as its operators.

The company has received ministerial backing for its application to list on the Namibian stock exchange.
