Total production for the last eight months from the company’s Luderitz Bay Grant in Namibia has now reached 100,000 carats of gem quality diamonds.
On the strength of these results, the company is on track to achieving its first year target of 150,000 carats.
The company’s plans to develop its second generation NamSSol II mining system are progressing well. NamSSol II is expected to mine at the rate of 185,000 carats per year, an increase of 25 per cent on the present NamSSol’s capability.
These production figures confirm the company’s position as the leading independent marine producer in the Namibian and South African diamond industry.
