On April 19, the State Key Laboratory of Deep-Sea Mineral Resources Development and Utilization Technology established its fourth academic committee and held the committee’s first meeting in Changsha in a combined online and in-person format. Academician Ding Rongjun, chairman of the academic committee, and 15 committee members from a number of universities and institutions attended the meeting.
Li Maolin, director of the State Key Laboratory and Party committee secretary, chairman and general manager of CRIMM, delivered an address and presented letters of appointment to the members of the new academic committee. Zhuo Xiaojun, vice chairman of the laboratory’s academic committee and deputy general manager of CRIMM, chaired the meeting.
In his remarks, Academician Ding Rongjun said the State Key Laboratory should focus on its own characteristics, make good use of its strengths as an enterprise-based state key laboratory, define its primary tasks in light of the requirements of the laboratory restructuring, and properly plan the priority tasks and directions for its development.
