Key points
- GoldCoast Resource has completed its Phase I airborne magnetic survey, flying about 60,000 line kilometres between May and August 2026 across its entire 10,000 km2 offshore licence on Ghana’s shallow continental shelf.
- Interpretation of the survey identified 22 high-priority gold exploration targets, magnetic anomalies linked to ancient river channels, old shorelines and structurally controlled sediment traps.
- The company says the data show all four elements needed for placer gold to accumulate offshore: a source, a transport pathway, traps and reservoirs.
- Phase II will test the priority targets directly with a marine program using multibeam bathymetry, side-scan sonar, sub-bottom seismic profiling and vibracore sampling.
