ESG Handbook for marine minerals established

Global Sea Mineral Resources (GSR), the deep-sea exploratory division of the DEME Group, welcomes the publication this week of The Marine Minerals ESG Handbook, the first ESG handbook for seabed minerals.

Dozens of organisations, including science institutions, NGOs, and regulators, have contributed to the handbook over the past two years. The purpose of the guidance document, which was project managed by GCE Ocean Technology, is to enable transparent and consistent reporting of material ESG topics of marine mineral projects in the context of global standards.  The handbook was prepared by DNV, an independent expert in risk management and assurance.

GSR is proud to support this important initiative.
