Mineral Resource Estimation Report for NORI Area D

Key points

  • TMC’s 2018 NORI exploration campaign upgraded inferred base metal resources to measured and indicated categories.
  • Resource tonnage in the upgraded areas rose 51% compared with the prior inferred estimate.
  • A technical report on the NORI Area D Clarion Clipperton Zone mineral resource estimate, dated July 22, 2019, was filed under NI 43-101 on SEDAR.
  • Results support TMC’s confidence in upgrading the remaining inferred resources across the NORI project area.

Data obtained using The Metals Company’s improved and cost-effective sampling methodology during NORI’s 2018 exploration campaign resulted in upgrades of ‘inferred’ base metal resources to ‘measured’ and ‘indicated’. There was a substantial 51% increase in resource tonnage for the upgraded areas when compared with the previous inferred resource estimate for the same area, giving the company confidence in its ability to upgrade the remainder of the inferred mineral resources in the NORI Project area.
