Diamond Fields suspends ship, plans Liberia drilling

Diamond Fields International Ltd. has suspended operations of its

diamond mining vessel, the MV DF Discoverer, until further notice. The board of

directors has made this decision based on the severity of the global economic

downturn and the sudden drop in the price of rough diamonds.

The company is pleased to announce that, together with its joint venture

partners, Silverhill Enterprises Ltd. and Ducor Inc., it will be moving forward

aggressively with drilling its Liberia gold discovery beginning in early

January, 2009.
