MIL (Investments) SARL, a company wholly owned by Jean-Raymond Boulle, together with the other dissidents identified in the dissident proxy circular dated Oct. 31, 2002, have expressed outrage by the last gasp attempt by management and the current board of directors of Diamond Fields International, which has filed a last minute petition seeking to invalidate any proxies obtained by the dissident group for use at the upcoming annual meeting of DFI scheduled to take place on Nov. 21, 2002. This is a desperate attempt by management and the board to entrench themselves and disenfranchise shareholders by denying shareholders their democratic right to vote. Furthermore, management and the board continue to spend DFI’s dwindling financial resources by commencing this frivolous litigation. MIL will aggressively defend this application filed by management in order to allow all DFI shareholders to exercise their democratic rights at the annual meeting on Nov. 21, 2002, and not just those shareholders who support management and the current board.
It is time for DFI shareholders to regain control of their company.
