Namibian Minerals appoints new exploration director

Michael Woodborne has been appointed as exploration director.

Mr. Woodborne joined Namco from Marine & Coastal Geo-Consultants, South

Africa’s leading marine geological consultancy, where he was co-founder and a

senior partner. Since 1993 he has advised Namco on its exploration strategy.

While at Marine & Coastal he directed the successful survey and prospecting

programs that led to the discovery of the Luderitz deposit in Namibia as

well as the subsequent estimation of Namco’s current diamond resources. Mr.

Woodborne has over 12 years marine geology experience and has consulted to

leading offshore diamond mining companies including BHP/Benguela SA, Diamond

Fields International and Trans Hex. He received his BSc in geology in 1981

and an MSc (Cum Laude) in marine geology in 1987 from the University of Cape

Town.

Namco’s second phase of exploration is planned for late 2000. Mr.

Woodborne will direct the company’s geological and exploration teams in the

program.
