Bulk sample No. 1 pit length extended by a further 10 metres.

High winds cause delays to mining and processing of gravels.

Bulk Sample No. 1 – South Channel Line 2000 West

Digging and processing of gravels from Bulk Sample No. 1 continues with completion now expected in approximately 14 days. This change in schedule is the result of several factors:

A decision to continue mining and extend the pit length from 80 to 90m. This requires further removal of overburden to access gravels;

Recent high winds causing dredging shutdowns; and

Minor repairs to plant the dredge.

As previously advised, results of the sample will be announced by the Sunda Shelf joint venture partners shortly after completion of Bulk Sample No. 1.
