Gratifying test results in the evaluation of the manganese nodules’ content
Tests reduced manganese nodule metals to over 50 percent purity. Iron purity reached 99.5 to 99.8 percent, exceeding typical ironworks output.

A gentle suction technology
A gentle suction system recovers manganese nodules via air-lift. Up to four nozzles, each about 10 metres wide, give a suction width of 40 metres.
