Diamond Fields International acquired two mineral licences in Liberia. One targets diamonds near Nimba, the other gold near Cestos.

Diamond Fields and Samicor cleared all joint venture conditions. Mining on ML111 near Luderitz is set to start by early June, 2004.

Diamond Fields International acquired Ogna project in Norway. Drilling starts mid-May 2004 under a 1-per-cent net smelter royalty.

DFI closed its acquisition of the remaining 30% stake in IGC. It now owns 100%, paying 612,572 shares held until Aug. 1, 2004.
