Diamond Fields Announces Change to Board and Management

Sybrand Van Der Spuy, a current director of Diamond Fields International Ltd., has been appointed as president and chief executive officer, taking the place of Ian Ransome, who has resigned as president, CEO and director. The board thanks Mr. Ransome for his dedication and leadership as interim president and CEO over the past four years.

Mr. Van Der Spuy, a South African resident, has his professional career line based on 20 years serving as a senior military officer, where he obtained a command and staff diploma in the South African Defense Force. He subsequently moved on to enterprise risk management with focus on business continuity, security implementation and consultation, which he effected in various African, Middle Eastern, Balkan and Northern American areas, covering critical infrastructure, construction, hydrocarbons and mining industries. His experience in policy formulation and implementation, and optimization of operational systems, further with his reputation as an operational troubleshooter, will serve him excellently in his appointment as CEO and president of the company.
