Namibian Minerals has appointed Greg Walker as chief executive officer of the company.
Mr. Walker, aged 54, has 22 years experience in the mining industry, 17 of which have been spent in diamond mining. He has previously held senior management positions with the Rio Tinto Group. He commences his duties with the company mid-March, 2002.
“I am delighted that the company has been able to secure the appointment of Greg Walker to the senior management team of the company, and I am confident that he will make a substantial contribution to the future success of the company,” said the chairman, Arye Barboy.
