Szczecin (Poland) On 7 February 2019, deploying of the Bernett type multicorer was carried out on Dabie lake. Employing transparent tubes with the inner diameter of 9.5 cm, the device simultaneously took series of undisturbed samples of lake sediments and water. The multicorer samples are used for variety of studies, such as geochemical analysis of sediments and water as well as for evaluation of environment. Satisfactory result of the test proved the multicorer to be fully functional. The scientific expedition to the Clarion-Clipperton Zone is planned in 2019.
