Allseas advances offshore operations with hybrid-electric ROV fleet

Allseas is strengthening its subsea capabilities with the acquisition of a new fleet of next-generation remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) from the Schilling Robotics division of TechnipFMC.

The Schilling Robotics hybrid electric Heavy Duty (eHD) ROVs combine electric propulsion with proven hydraulic capability, enabling Allseas to modernise its fleet while maintaining the tooling compatibility and work-class performance required for demanding subsea construction, inspection and intervention projects.

The vehicles will gradually replace the existing ROV fleet, expanding Allseas’ ability to execute work across a broader range of offshore environments and applications.

Designed for reliable performance at water depths of up to 6,000 metres, the vehicles support efficient execution while maintaining high and consistent operational standards worldwide.

Offshore operations continue to grow in scale and complexity, with projects moving into deeper waters, more remote locations and harsher environments.

The eHD ROVs are designed with these challenges in mind. Enhanced manoeuvrability, advanced navigation and automated support functions allow for more precise subsea work, improving execution and reducing time spent offshore.

Increased tooling capacity and improved vehicle performance enable a wider range of inspection, construction and intervention tasks to be carried out with a single system, giving project teams greater flexibility in how operations are planned and delivered.
